Inside vivid yellow (12A) over most of each petal and at the edges towards the base, but with a vivid reddish orange (42A) brushmark extending over the basal 1/3 of each petal, throat vivid reddish orange (42A); outside greyish red (178A), midribs 178A flamed with vivid yellow (15B); unspotted; nectaries vivid yellow (12A); pollen vivid orange-yellow (23A); stigma dark red (187A). Fls 155mm wide; petals 80 x 30-45mm, slightly ruffled, tips slightly recurved. Lvs alternate, 100 x 20mm, strong yellow-green (143A). Stems 0.85-1.1m, close to light yellow-green (144D) with moderate reddish brown (175A) stripes and 6-14 fls. Late june, early July. |
