Bulb ovoid, 1.5-3 × 1.3-3 cm. Sheath 4.5-7 × 0.5-0.7 cm. Vernation supervolute. Leaves narrowly oblanceolate (broader in the middle to upper third), narrowed at the base, at flowering 8-15(-22) × 1-2.2 cm, after flowering developing to 10-18(-25) × 1-2.5 cm, semi-erect to recurving at maturity; midrib conspicuous; margins flat; apex obtuse to obtuse-acute, often with a short point at the tip, flat to slightly hooded; surfaces smooth; upper and lower surfaces the same colour or slightly different, upper surface green-glaucescent (greenish with a silver-grey cast), matt, lower surface slightly paler, green, matt. Scape 8-12 cm long, glaucescent. Pedicel 20-29 mm long. Outer perianth segments narrowly obovate to elliptic, 15-25(-30) × 7-11 mm, slightly unguiculate. Inner perianth segments narrowly obovate to obtriangular-oblong, 7-12 × 4-6 mm, each segment with a sinus and an apical V-shaped green mark; inner face of each segment with a faint green mark similar to the mark on the outer face, or covering almost half of the segment. Anthers tapering to a long point. Capsule not known to develop. Flowering time February to March in cultivation. |
