Description

The bulb is of two scales with little or no indentation in the centre. The stem is 60 cm tall. There are a few leaves over the flowers, which are pendulous, wide open yellow to yellow red (orange) bells with a slight recurve. The purple nectary may display a clear watery droplet of nectar. The style is entire and the seed capsule large, squarish and with a dried wing at each of the four corners. Flowering mid to late spring.
