Leaves linear to very narrowly oblanceolate (slightly broader in middle to upper third), (4-)7-25(-28) × (0.4-)0.6-0.9(-1.2) cm, during and after flowering developing in length and slightly width, semi-erect to recurving at maturity; midrib conspicuous; margins mostly flat to subrevolute but usually also very slightly explicative to explicative, particularly at the base to lower half of the leaf, on one or both sides of each leaf; apex acute to acute-obtuse, flat to very slightly hooded; surfaces smooth apart from leaf folding; upper and lower surfaces the same colour or slightly different, upper surface glaucescent or infrequently nearly glaucous (grey-green to grey), somtimes with a faint glaucescent to glaucous (grey) median stripe, matt, lower leaf surfaces glaucescent, matt.
