Description

Blades of basal leaves mostly 6-10 cm wide (larger than in other members of theTuberosum Group), the middle division free to the base, the others shortly joined; divisions freely pinnately lobed from near the base, and the lowest lobes pinnately toothed; flowers about 3,5-4,5 cm; petals heart-shaped, violet-blue or purplish, veiny. Leaves present in spring, sometimes also in autumn and winter. Rock garden, border. Tubers up to 6 × 1,5 cm, spindle-shaped. Leaves green.
