Inside strong purplish red (58B) on a white ground, 1/3 of petal with a brilliant yellow (10A) midvein, throat white (155D); outside strong purplish red (58B) on a white ground, 1/3 of petal with a brilliant yellow (10A) midvein, paler than the inside; nectaries strong yellow-green (144B); pollen strong brown (172A); stigma moderate purplish red (186A/B); strong purplish red (60B/C) spots on inner petals only and with white (155C) and strong purplish pink (55B) papillae only on inner petals. Fls 240mm wide; petals 135-140 x 40-60mm, margins ruffled, tips recurved. Lvs alternate, 175 x 50mm, mid green. Stems 1.1m, green, with 4-5 fls. July. |
