Summary colour: white NN155D with green-brown 152C. Leaves 25 cm long, 5-6 mm wide, linear, glaucous green, deciduous. Scape 36-41cm long. Umbel 4-8 flowered. Flowers nodding at first, but progressing upright with age and prior to the seed capsule forming. Scented night and day. Pedicels 16 mm at anthesis. Perianth tube 5-6 mm at the level of the lower perianth segment, cream suffused pale-green, triangular with rounded corners. Perianth segments creamy-white suffused pale-green with central line of green, approximately 7 mm long, ovate-oblong, somewhat spatulate with inflexed edges, in two whorls 2 mm apart, upper whorl adnate to the corona for 2 mm. Corona on opening fleshy, green aging orange-yellow, 5 mm long from lower perianth segment. Anthers in two whorls, upper just below the mouth of the corona, lower at the level of the lower perianth segments. Ovary 3-4 mm long, heart-shaped. Style approximately 1 mm. Stigma capitate. Capsule 8-9 mm long, obcordate. |
