Summary colour: light green N144A with violet N82A margins and yellow-brown N172D corona. Leaves: 20-23 cm long, 3.5 mm wide at base expanding to 5 mm tapering to obtuse/acute apex, dark-green with slight glaucous coating, glossy beneath and suffused pink-violet at base, lower surface ribbed, upper third twisted somewhat, little garlic odour detected. Scape 43-45 cm, 4 mm wide at base. Umbel 12 flowered opening in succession, nodding but eventually upright when fading. Pedicels 15-17 mm long. Perianth tube 7 mm long at the level of the lower perianth segments, pale-green with brown stripes, suffused purple-brown where exposed to sun and slightly glaucous. Perianth segments two whorls set at the same level, upper whorl adnate to the corona approximately 1 mm. Oblong-obtuse approx 5 mm long, 2 mm wide at base, green suffused pink-violet at margins. Corona on opening fleshy, orange-brown, tri-lobed, 3 mm long connate at the base for approx 1mm. Anthers two alternate whorls, upper whorl level with the base of the corona, lower whorl approximately 2 mm below and level with the stigma. Ovary ovoid-elongated, 4 mm long. Style approximately 1.75 mm. Stigma capitate. |
