Inside of tepals including midvein very pale purple (69A), throat light olive (152A). Outside of tepals including midrib very pale purple (69A). Spots numerous, tiny circles to ellipses distributed across tepal, some coalescing to form small irregular patches of colour (mainly in centre of tepal), moderate purplish red (186A); papillae absent; nectaries dark greenish yellow (152C), semi-open, ridges slightly frosted; filament deep greenish yellow (153A), pollen strong orange (168B); stigma dark purplish pink (186C). Fls 70 mm wide, slightly scented; tepals 30 × 13 mm, margins smooth, tips strongly recurved. Lvs 95 × 27 mm, whorled, light yellowish green (135D). Stems 0.9 m (outdoors), brilliant yellow-green (142B), with up to 27 fls. (average 20). May-June. Hardy. |
