Inside of tepals (including midvein) greenish white (155C); throat light yellow-green (145C). Outside of tepals greenish white (155C), midrib light greenish grey (191D). Spots dark red (187B), distributed evenly across basal half to two-thirds of tepal and along margins, generally absent from tip, papillae absent; nectaries light yellow-green (145C), open; filaments pale yellow-green (157A), pollen strong orange (169B); stigma greyish purplish blue (103A). Fls 50 mm wide, single, slightly scented; tepals 30 × 15 mm, margins smooth, tips recurved. Lvs 130 × 27 mm, whorled, moderate olive-green (137B). Stems 1.10 m (under glass), moderate olive-green (137B), with up to 15 fls. (average 10). May-June. Hardy. |
