Inside of tepals moderate red (183C), dark red (187) flush along midvein line; throat moderate red (183C). Outside of tepals moderate red (183C). Small spots dark red (187A), in basal third, papillae absent; nectaries moderate red (182A), closed; filaments moderate red (180A), pollen moderate orange (168C); stigma medium grey (202B). Fls 200 mm wide, single, not scented; tepals 100 × 50 mm, margins smooth, tips slightly recurved. Lvs 150 × 45 mm, scattered, strong yellowish green (141C). Stems 0.9 m (under glass), strong yellow-green (142A), with up to 8 fls. (average 5 fls). May-June. Hardiness strong. |
