Description

Bulb with leathery brown tunic, covered inside with hairs on top and bottom. Stem green, hairless, 4 to 7 leaves, spear-shaped, green and keeled. Petals dull pinkish red on the outside, star coloured at the tip. Basal spot pale yellow. Inside bright red with dark basal spot with yellow rim. Anthers dark purple with purple black filaments. Pollen ochre yellow. Height about 17 cm. Resembles but differs from T. harmonia Sprenger ex Wittm. (T. agenesis) and T. agenensis.
