Inside strong purplish red (60C/D), paler towards edges in apical part. Lower part of petal deep red (60A) with a narrow dark red (187B) edge, midveins deep red (185A) shading to strong purplish red (60C) at apex, outer petals tipped white (155D); throat white (155D); outside moderate purplish red (58A) on a white (155D) ground, base white (155D) with some anthocyanin, midveins light yellow-green (150D); dark red (187A) spots over 2/3 of each petal and dark red (187A&B) papillae in the throat near the nectaries; nectaries strong yellow-green (144B), narrowly edged brilliant yellow (8A); pollen strong orange (169B); stigma close to dark purple (79A). Fls 240mm wide; petals 125-130 x 50-75mm, margins ruffled, tips strongly recurved. Lvs alternate, 225 x 65mm, mid green. Stems 1.1m, light green, with c. 4-6 fls. July – August. |

Binnenzijde: chrysantrood (CC 60C/D), naar rand aan de top van het bloemblad iets lichter gekleurd. Onderzijde bloemblad chrysantrood (CC 60A). Tot halverwege bloemblad smal donker indischroodlak (CC 187B) gerand. Middennerf chrysantrood (CC 185A) naar top verlopend in chrysantrood (CC 60C). Topje buitenste bloembladen ivoorkleurig wit (CC 155D). Buitenzijde: indischroodlak (CC 58A) op ivoorkleurig witte (CC 155D) ondergrond. Bodem ivoorkleurig wit (CC 155D) en iets anthocyaan. |
