Inside deep red (185A) on a moderate red (185B) ground, with a deep orange-yellow (163A) suffusion above nectary for c 1/3 of petal, throat brilliant yellow-green (150C); outside with moderate yellow (160A) midveins, deep pink (180D) alogside the midveins and becoming moderate red (183D) towards edges; nectaries moderate yellowish pink (179D); dark red (187B) spots but no papillae; pollen strong orange (24A); stigma brilliant orange (25C). Fls 170 mm wide; petals 130 x 50-60 mm, not ruffled, tips recurved. Lvs alternate, 150-160 x 20-25 mm. Stems 1.0-1.3 m, green, with darker markings and c.4 fls. |
